Mission :

KSS strives towards bringing slum dwellers to the main stream of society through cultural integration and social upliftment

Vision :

A society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, free from deprivation and neglect.

Education forms the core of KSS’s work, focusing on academic support, access to essentials, guidance, and encouragement for children to continue their learning journey with confidence. Equal emphasis is placed on cultural grounding, discipline, and character building, enabling children to grow into responsible and value driven citizens.

Women empowerment is another key area of engagement, supporting women through collective platforms, skill development, livelihood opportunities, and social support systems. KSS also actively promotes health and hygiene awareness, environmental responsibility, and civic consciousness within communities, recognising that holistic development extends beyond classrooms.

Culture and Indian traditions play an integral role in KSS initiatives. Through regular activities, camps, and large scale community events, children are introduced to Bharatiya values, teamwork, leadership, and social harmony in an inclusive and joyful environment.

Balasangama is the flagship annual children’s congregation of Keshava Seva Samiti, bringing together thousands of children from diverse communities on a common platform. The event celebrates sports, culture, creativity, and learning, fostering confidence, teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among children. Balasangama reflects KSS’s commitment to holistic child development rooted in values, culture, and community spirit.

Keshava Seva Samiti observes the International Day of Yoga by organising a large community event along with multiple local yoga sessions across Seva Basatis. The celebration brings together a large gathering of participants, including children, youth, women, and elders, practicing yoga collectively. The initiative promotes physical health, mental well being, discipline, and awareness of yoga as a way of life rooted in Indian tradition.

Over the years, Keshava Seva Samiti has evolved into a strong community anchored organisation, driven by committed volunteers, educators, and well wishers. Its work continues to focus on building dignity, confidence, and long term social transformation, rooted in service, simplicity, and collective action.
